Pennsylvania Wolfe Johns started in the streets of New Orleans. Determined to keep the spirit of performance alive in the Crescent City during a time when live music was nonexistent during the COVID-19 pandemic, he performed weekly outside his home in Faubourg Treme and eventually moved his performances to Royal Street in the French Quarter where he performed daily. Now you can see Pennsylvania Wolfe Johns perform on stages all over New Orleans and beyond.

Drawing on classic New Orleans R&B and blues, Pennsylvania Wolfe Johns puts a signature spin on classic songs by artists such as John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Earl King, Robert Johnson and more. In addition, Pennsylvania Wolfe Johns deftly performs high energy, emotionally charged, original music of his own firmly rooted in blues, R&B, jazz and soul.
